Three Of Jeep's All-New Vehicles Make An Advance Public Debut In Australia
By Lisa Ziegler

In Melbourne: Jeep has recently announced that it will give the Australian public the opportunity to take a peek at its three all-new vehicles which are scheduled to debut at the Melbourne International Motor Show on March 2 to 12.

Jeep’s all new Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, four door, will lead the show by providing a glimpse on the brand’s aggressive product lineup which grows from four to seven models this year. Likewise, the Jeep Compass which is considered to be the first compact SUV in the brand will also be presented.

The all-new Jeep Wrangler was redesigned for a more improved on-road and off-road driving experience. Its new diesel powered version was also made available in both manual and automatic transmissions. In terms of appearance, the Wrangler retains its classic looks and the unparalleled off-road performance which it inherited from its predecessors. The Wrangler has also continued the Jeep tradition of utilizing only high quality auto parts like the popular Jeep air filter recharge kit that are strong enough to withstand the toughest road conditions.

According to Gerry Jenkins, Managing Director for the Chrysler Group in Australia, “It’s exciting to be able to give the public a sneak peak of our latest four-wheel drives ahead of their sales launch. The Wrangler is not only an icon for Jeep but an incredibly capable four-wheel drive. Many customers and our dealers have been eagerly looking forward for its arrival for a long time. And now that the Wrangler Unlimited expands the Jeep experience and core values to go anywhere and do anything, now with more family, friends, and more gear, four doors and 2324 litres of cargo space with the rear seats folded! ”

“But Jeep is not only launching an all-new two and four-door Unlimited version of the iconic Wrangler in 2007, we are taking more than 65 years of legendary 4x4 leadership to a growing area of market with two new compact four-wheel drives,” explained Jenkins.

Jeep Compass is the very first compact SUV that the brand will offer for sale and this represents another chapter in the annals of Jeep brand. The Compass offers a spacious and comfortable interior plus an option of petrol engines and fuel efficient diesel and an all new 4WD system in one compact package.

And here is what Jenkins has to say about the Compass, “Compass is designed to reach young active customers who may not have previously considered the brand but value the distinctive Jeep look and see four-wheel drive as a must-have on their daily drive. The compact 4WD segment is expected to grow in the future, and these new vehicles mean the Jeep brand is ideally placed to meet this growing need.”

The prices for the three all-new vehicles of Jeep are to be announced at the Melbourne International Motor Show.
