Now onto my Tire Carrier rear Bumper Mounting system and all the problem I encountered once I thought my trailer was getting close to being done.

The picture above show a proposed idea for mounting the Pintle hitch and the Spare tire to leave room for the tongue and all the space need so the tongue of the trailer won't touch my tire.

The way the tire mounts currently doesn't leave room for the tongue of the trailer to move up and down.

So I started collecting parts from around the shop to make an adjustable tire carrier mount. I found a piece of round DOM 1.75 and a square piece of 2x2 .080 wall tube and put them together.

Here I have it all together and put ont he Jeep. The tire mount is adjustable if needed. The tire is so hit is kind of covers the third brake light, so when I am not planning on using the trailer I will lower it.

Here is the Bumper attached to the Jeep and the view of the Hitch bolted to the Bumper. I got very lucky with the placement of this hook. My tire carrier still opens which I had not even considered until I had it all bolted up and on the jeep. This does hang down low and will act an a boat anchor on some of the ledges, not a good thing but I was stuck with this.

Close call but at least it all works out without hitting.

The weld look like big booger weld but I really did a pretty good job of them, they are big and strong I just didn't clean them up and the pictures look worse that the real welds. I had to add more braces to the end on the bumper and a new 1/4 90 degree angle bracket to mount to the frame. This will be very strong and help the bumper hold the weight of the trailer and the tire Carrier.

Another view of the bumper mounts from the other side.

It had to snow on me once again in the middle of this project. Here is the Trailer hooked up to the Jeep and ready to roll. Well almost I still need to put the tub in and build the tail gate. I will get there, It's just been slow going.
